We performed an in-depth analysis of Taco Bell’s social footprint across Meta, Instagram, X, TikTok, Reddit and Discord, examining owned social performance, fan conversations, and establishing benchmarks against ten key QSR competitors. Armed with these insights, we developed a social media strategy that boosted Taco Bell’s engagement by 25% across platforms.
We highlighted areas for Taco Bell to strengthen its social presence, identifying engagement gaps across platforms and key focus areas. By analyzing Taco Bell’s top performing content alongside competitors, we surfaced successful content themes and trends, offering strategic tactics to give Taco Bell a competitive edge. Social listening revealed the top three fan-requested menu items, the impact of celebrity and influencer partnerships in driving fandom, and confirmed Taco Bell as the #1 QSR brand on TikTok.
Our insights informed strategic business decisions, leading to the return of fan favorites like Mexican Pizza and Nacho Fries. We also strengthened Taco Bell’s presence on TikTok, solidifying its leadership by identifying popular trends (#foodhacks, #oddlysatisfying), partnering with top creators already engaging with the brand, and increasing paid media efforts on TikTok.
